We need secured funding for our Tribal Home Visiting program at Lake County Tribal Health Consortium in California. There is a great need for the services we offer parents to support them in raising the next generation of healthy, successful leaders. Since implementing the program in 2012, we have been at capacity and over capacity with families we serve. It’s difficult to continue to sign up families up for a 3 year home visiting program and having to let them know that the funding for our services is only secured for 10 months. It’s difficult to tell staff that we only have 10 months of secured funding and hope that they won’t leave for other opportunities. Please take action and secure funding for this vital program in our community.
